George IV Gilt-Metal Mounted Rosewood Duet Stand
The two-sided top in the form of lyres with brass strings, flanked by swiveling candle arms, on an adjustable stem on a rising post, the reeded standard on a tripartite plinth ending in reeded bun feet. Height 47 inches (1.19 m), width 16 1/2 inches (42 cm), depth 18 inches (45.8 cm).
Very good quality, in overall good condition, commensurate with age, one music rest lacking brass stop, age cracks to stem, lifting and rippling to veneer of tripartite plinth, with losses and replacements of sides, rubbing and later varnish to brass candle arms
