England, early 19th century. Rectangular shaped gold wash over sterling case with lid that appears to be blue glass infused with gold creating an abstract pattern. Lid opens to cutwork hinged grill. Hallmarked Birmingham, 1810, Sterling, maker's mark M. Measures 1.12"l. x .75"w., 22gr.
