Description: DESCRIPTION: A WWI era German artillery sword. Curved fullered blade. Bakelite grip. Metal guard, back strap and pommel. Middle of cross guard on right side stamped "1920". The left side is stamped "3./F.7.8.". Spine at base of blade is stamped but difficult to read, "(Crown proof)/80/(Crown proof)". Includes heavy metal scabbard with rounded toe and solid hanger ring. MEASUREMENTS: Blade is 29-1/2". 35" overall. CONDITION: Spotty discoloration and pitting to blade. Light embedded pitting and moderate patina to cross guard, guard, back strap, and pommel. Spotty pitting, a few dents, and dark patina to scabbard. ESTIMATE: $200 - $300
