41 1/2in. overall, 25 1/4in. rounds sighted barrel, with gold "St. Etienne" breech engraved with balloon trade mark, loading tap, flower and scroll engraved frame trigger guard and tang, center hammer action, adjustable trigger, walnut butt with chequered wrist, butt plate embossed with hot air balloon trade mark and "Paul Giffard Inventeur", good working order, cylinder serial number 42245 and spare cylinder 39948, both cylinders refinished
