Description: GLASS, demijohn bottle and historical flask, two pieces: the first an oval olive green demijohn bottle, c. 1860-70, squat neck with ring laid below plain lip, bulbous body, smooth and slightly depressed base, possibly 4-5 gallons, rough rim, 17 1/4" h.; and second a "Gen. Taylor Never Surrenders/The Father of His Country" portrait flask, aqua, probably Dyottville Glassworks, profile of Generals Zachary Taylor (in uniform) and George Washington (classical bust) on either side encircled by titles in raised lettering, open pontil mark, as is with chipped rim and hairline crack, 7" h.
