Description: 4th century BC. A terracotta female face, possibly from a kore with band of textured hair, lentoid eyes, strong nose and slight smile to the lips. Cf. Richter, G.M.A. Kora Archaic Greek Maidens, London, 1968, fig.441 for similar features. 391 grams, 12cm (4 3/4"). Private collection, Cambridgeshire, UK; acquired prior to 2000.
