Description: 2nd century BC-1st century AD. A substantial silver penannular torc formed as a twisted square-section shank with median slot to each face, each terminal a flat-section swan's head with incised beak and punched eye. See Hoddinott, R.F. The Thracians, London, 1981 for discussion. 226 grams, 19cm (7 1/2"). From an important collection; acquired late 1990s-2010.
