Description: A group of six books given to Greta Garbo from friends and family: a kid covered book titled Rudof Steiner with an inscription that reads "Everything that love touches is saved from death"; Samlade Dikter by Gustaf Froding (Stockholm: Albert Bonniers Forlag) with an inscription from Garbo's brother that reads "Greta Christmas 1923 from Sven"; Select Epigrams from the Greek Anthology translated by J.W. Mackail (Peter Pauper Press), end paper has "Peg Gustafson September 1944" written in pen, Peg was Garbo's sister-in-law; Baron James : The Rise of the French Rothschilds by Anka Muhlstein (London: Collins) with an inscription on the title page that reads "To my dear aunt Cecile who came and picked her Baron James in person." Cecile refers to Baroness Cecile de Rothschild who was a close friend of Garbo.; Dikter by Viktor Rydberg (Stockholm: Albert Bonniers Forlag) with an inscription in Swedish on the flyleaf that translates to "To Greta Garbo with happy reminders of our walks around Lake Davos. Affectionately, Siv and Sven Broman See page 106 December 1987," Broman wrote two books about Garbo; and Das Personliche Geburtstagbuch (Personal Birthday Book September 18).
