Description: HAROLD EDGERTON (1903-1990) Seeing the Unseen: Twelve Photographs by Harold Edgerton. A handsome portfolio with 12 (of 12) photographs, including some of Edgerton's best-known motion studies. With an introduction by Geoffrey W. Holt. Dye transfer (5) and silver prints (7), the images measuring 13 1/2x10 3/4 inches (34.3x27.3 cm.), and the reverse, the sheets 14x11 inches (35.6x27.9 cm.), each with Edgerton's signature and edition notation 45/60, in pencil, on verso. Folio, black leatherette clamshell box with a silver-stamped title and illustration; the colophon with the edition notation, in ink; contents loose as issued. ONE OF 60 NUMBERED COPIES. Buyer's Premium: Buyer's Premium is 25% of the hammer price up to and including $100,000; 20% of the portion of the hammer price above $100,000 up to and including $1,000,000; and 12% of the portion of the hammer price above $1,000,000.
Taxes on your purchase: SALES TAX. All items purchased are subject to payment of the New York City and State sales tax of 8.875% on the total purchase price (final bid plus the Buyer's Premium as defined in paragraph 7 of the Conditions of Sale) unless the purchaser presents proof of exemption therefrom. An exempt purchaser must provide a properly completed New York State Resale Certificate (Form ST-120) evidencing possession of a valid New York State Resale or, for non-New York State businesses, the equivalent resale authorization from another locale.
