Please note that there is slight variation in the heights of the rods within approximately 1/4 inch. When the sculpture is still, the rods don't stand perfectly in alignment, though none appear to be obviously bent. The base has a slightly mottled appearance and there is some grayish, uneven speckling around the circular openings where the individual rods are fused to the base. Irregular similar black flecks throughout the top of the base. There is a 1/2 inch circular brownish/green stain with circular attendant flecks in a circular ring around the stain (possibly the result of a water droplet). There is a 1/2 inch oval shaped similar stain in one of the corners. A piece of old masking tape affixed to the underside, a 1/2 inch corner of which previously wrapped up the vertical edge and 1/8 of an inch over the horizontal side of the base from the underneath to the top of the base - cream colored old residue stains result. With some occasional soft abrasions, traces of oxidation and variation within the colors of the patina on the rods and cattails. Otherwise generally good condition.
