Condition: Very good overall condition. The copper colored rods, juxtaposed with intentionally varying height, with some variations in surface hue, including some traces of verdigris, dark brown specks /spots, and some darker brown hue at the tops of some of the rods. Many of the rods with areas of pinkish hue, apparently devoid of patina. We note two of the rods - each at one of the corners - leans inward rather than straight up.
Where the bottom of the rods touch the base, there are copper colored roughly circular shaped areas centering rods. The surface color of the restof the base in golden colored. Base has some minor scratches/scuffs, small spots/marks some brown some verdigris.
The variations in surface hue in rods and the minor surface variations in base appear, in our opinion to be original and as intended there is no indication of any restoration to this sculpture and surface hue/patina variation do not constitute condition defects. They are consistent with and typical of other Bertoia sound sculptures.
