The sheet slightly toned overall, slightly moreso along the top 6 inches. Pale mat staining, mainly along the left margin edge. With a 28 inch vertical tear through the center of the sheet (backed) with associated minor losses in a 1 inch touched-in area in the background. A 17 inch diagonal crease extending from the center to the upper left margin edge with a few other associated creases. Two horizontal brown stains in and above the signature area, extending very faintly intermittently towards the left margin. Intermittent pale brown spots (presumbably glue or foxing) evident mainly in the uninked areas throughout. Several creases, short tears and minor losses evident along the edges of the sheet, sometimes extending into the image area. The upper most approx 6 inch horizontal band of the sheet exhibits darker staining, several 2-5 inch losses, associated creases, tears and touched in areas. An approx. 4 x 3 inch loss to the upper left corner, extending into the image area. The margins unevenly trimmed. Minor surface soiling on the reverse of the linen backing. Stamped verso "Pierre Reneve Cadres Tableuax St. Honore" with the red circular ink stamp.
