Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864 Albi - 1901 Malromé). Plakat: La revue blanche. 1895 Lithograph in colours Adriani 130 II (of III). Wittrock P 16 B (of D). Monogrammed and dated on the stone.127 x 90,8 cm (50 x 35,7 in) Poster before letters, without remarque. Printed by Ancourt, Paris, released by Charpentier und Fasquelle, Paris, by commission of 'La revue blanche'. Very rare The annually published poster of the magazine'La revue blanc' is adorned by the portrait of the ice-skating Misia, the wife of Thadée Natanson. Together with his brothers Alexandre and Louis, he had published the art- and literature magazine 'La revue blanche' since 1891, which would soon become the organ of the avant-garde. Misia operated a 'Salon' in her luxurious apartment in Paris, which was a permanent meeting place for the young artists and writers. Our poster without letters with erased marginalia is a very rare and impressive document of poster art around 1900. [SM]."
