Description: HENRY KOEHLER
(american b. 1927)
"ORANGE JOCKEY MOUNTING"
Signed ''Henry Koehler'' bottom center; also inscribed with the artist, title and date ''1963'' verso, watercolor and charcoal on paper
18 x 23 in. (45.7 x 58.4cm)
provenance:
Palm Beach Galleries, Palm Beach, Florida.
Acquired from the above in 1965.

Condition Report: Frame: 24 1/2 x 29 x 1 5/8 in.
The outermost centimeter of sheet edges are toned to medium brown and each corner appears to be affixed to the support with glue, therefore we were not able to examine the verso. Framed with non-archival material. Sheet generally appears to be slightly toned and colors attenuated. With faint surface soiling and handling creases throughout. With staining in various areas, ie, dark brown specks in background and bottom right quadrant and with some apparent speck of medium brown staining in the knee and upper thigh and dark brown speck of staining in violet area above the figure's back and in a few areas in the shirt. With two brown spots at the bottom of the sheet. (see images).
