Description: An almost 2" square piece of one of the 8 propellers. This piece still retains the original black propeller coating on the front and back and clean wood on the cut sides. From the estate of Lt. Cmdr. Wilmer Conover and includes a copy of his service record showing he was stationed at Lake Hurst NJ during the disaster and clean up, and a newspaper clipping showing he was a member of the ground crew on the day of the disaster. Also includes a signed and notarized letter from his son attesting to the provenance provided.
