(table des chapitres), 245 pp. ÉDITION ORIGINALE EXTRÊMEMENT RARE. « D'après Voltaire, cette première édition fut donnée par Marc-Michel Rey (Voltaire Theriot, 29 mai 1769). L'ouvrage était encore excessivement rare en juin (Mémoires secrets, 25 juin) et on le recherchait « avec d'autant plus d'empressement qu'on prétendait que Voltaire ne l'avait fait que pour se rendre favorable le ministère qui lui avait fourni les matériaux ». Mémoires secrets, 17 juillet. Wagnière prétend que Voltaire « ne reçut pas de matériaux pour la composition de cet ouvrage, mais qu'il l'écrivit à l'instigation du ministère et à celle d'un prince ». Mémoires sur Voltaire t. I, p. 299. Voltaire désavoua l'Histoire du Parlement de Paris dans deux lettres adressées à M. Marin (5 juillet) et l'autre à M. Lacombe (9 juillet 1769) », dit Bengesco I, p. 369-370. Bengesco 1247 - Catal. B. N. 3345. Très bel exemplaire en maroquin de l'époque, condition exceptionnelle.
