Condition/Details: This volume is a scarce autographed first edition of this memoir about Johnny Cash (1932 - 2003) compiled by Hugh Waddell, a man who spent eight years with the country music artist as publicist and personal aide. More than forty people offer their remembrances of "the Man in Black" and provide an insider's view of the heart and soul of the friend they knew simply as John. Featuring contributions from a broad spectrum of persons from all eras of Cash's life, including his children John Carter Cash, Cindy Cash, and Tara Cash Schwoebel; grandson Dustin Tittle; siblings Tommy Cash and Joanne Cash Yates; early bandmate W. S. Holland; and country music icons Merle Kilgore, Johnny Western, and 'Cowboy' Jack Clement.
The work is illustrated with hundreds of photographs. The volume is sealed in plastic cover and has been given the highest grade of 10 on the Book Grading Service certificate visible on rear cover (number AC012024). A COA accompanies this volume.
