Description: HUNT SLONEM
(american b. 1951)
BIRD
Signed and illegibly dated ''Hunt Slonem [89]'' bottom right, watercolor and acrylic on paper
22 1/4 x 34 1/2 in. (56.5 x 87.6cm)
provenance:
New York Academy of Fine Art, New York, New York.
Acquired from the above in 2008 as part of the "Take Home a Nude" auction to benefit the NYAA.

Condition Report: Frame: 32 1/4 x 44 1/2 x 3 3/4 in.
Please note this work was not examined out of its frame, all edges visible.
With tack holes present at each corner and two holes at the bottom left corner. Hinged to its support in apparently four places (at each corner) with white linen tape. The paper is slipping a bit from its hinges such that the tape is visible slightly along the top horizontal edge. The paper is slightly rippled due to its medium- most evident at edges. There are a few minor area of cracking where paint is thickest, for example in the black stripe, secon from the left towards the top left of the painting. This is very unobtrusive.
Overall in very good original condition.

Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to request a condition report on any lots upon which they intend to bid, prior to placing a bid.
