Description: [Land Transactions] Indenture with “Thomas Torshell of Wardington in the County of Oxford of the one part” as the seller and the purchaser being “Thomas Chamberlain of the Parish of Sainte Anne Soho Westminster in the County of Middlesex Pewterer...” Chamberlain had already paid Thomas Torshell 1500 pounds, and made a nominal additional payment of 5 shillings. Apr. 29, 1758. Text mentions “Joseph Coleman and Ella his wife” and “Nathaniel Coleman and Martha his wife.” Vellum. Signed “Tho Torshill” around the red wax seal in lower margin. Revenue stamp. Sheet 23 x 30 ¼ in. No countersignature (presumably on verso, but the verso is tipped to a backing). Sight condition of recto is near fine. Under glass. Not examined out of frame.
