Description: 19th century AD. A bronze katar daggerwith double edged leaf-shaped blade with central rib and recessed body to the side; handle with two parallel bars connected by two cross pieces, one side bar to the top and fastened to the blade; handle decorated with gilt chevron pattern with panels of scrolling flowers to the ends and centre. 348 grams, 39.5cm (15 1/2"). Property of a Sussex, UK collector; acquired UK 1990s.
