Description: DESCRIPTION: A US Army Springfield trapdoor rifle socket bayonet used the Indian Wars. Angular blade marked "US" at the bottom. Metal scabbard with leather frog and brass belt hook. MEASUREMENTS: Blade is 17". 21" overall. CONDITION: Patchy discoloration to the blade with some light embedded pitting to the socket. Scratches, pitting, and one dent to the scabbard. The frog is separated from the scabbard. Modest discoloration and verdigris to the brass belt hook. ESTIMATE: $60 - $90
