compartmentalized dovetailed top, lid and front with string and star or floral inlay, base with dovetailed drawer above tapered legs with descending bellflower inlay and extensive single and double string inlay, original brass hinges, secondary woods yellow pine and poplar, excellent oxidation throughout, probably Piedmont North Carolina, early 19th century, 13 x 16 x 12-1/2 in. Lacking original lock, brass pulls replaced, old refinishing, some fading.
