Description: 1st century BC. A hollow-formed bronze scabbard chape, scaphoid in plan with crescentic lower panel, carination and neck with flared rim and attachment pins. Cf. sword and scabbard summary typology in James, S. & Rigby, V. Britain and the Celtic Iron Age, London, 1997, fig.7. 30 grams, 57mm (2 1/4"). Found East Anglia, UK; before 2000.

Condition Report: Very fine condition. Scarce.
