Description: 5th-3rd century BC. A greyware footed bowl with everted ledge below the rim; concentric painted rings to the base, waist and shoulder, band of swags; frieze to the shoulder depicting three grazing deer with a fawn three advancing horsemen with spears raised ready to cast, fish flanking a standing warrior with spear and shield and text above and below, galloping horse and three fish caught on a line with text above. 2.8 kg, 25cm (9 3/4"). From an old German collection; acquired before 1990.

Condition Report: Fine condition; fire damaged and repaired.
