Description: 2nd-1st century BC. A pair of massive iron spearheads with leaf-shaped blade incorporating a pronounced rib extending into the lower section of the socket; the split socket with two holes for a fixing pin to the wood shaft, with ring half way along and base of the socket. 2.3 kg, 66cm (26"). Property of a Surrey collector; acquired in the early 1970s. [2]
