ITALIAN BAROQUE GILTWOOD MIRROR
the rectangular mirror plate within a foliate carved frame and margin plates, surmounted by cresting of mermaids, C-scrolls, fruit and flowers, the reverse bearing Leeds City Art Gallery & Temple Newsom House exhibition loan label dated 1948
127cm wide, 144cm high
- margin plates cracked in 3 places
- mirror plate generally ok with a few minor spots and blemishes
- a few losses to the leaf mouldings
- some losses to gilt and gesso throughout
- gilt surface appears to be original
