Shipping to the UK:
If you are a UK client and have bought a licensable item, there are a variety of ways in which you can receive your Lot:
Collect the gun after the Auction.
If you attend the auction and are successful in your bid, once payment has cleared and you present the appropriate licences (if relevant) you are free to take your items with you from our Salerooms.
Collect the gun in person from Holt's Auctioneers Head Office
This is the simplest way. Simply contact our Main Office to arrange a convenient time for you to collect your gun. The gunrooms are on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk and open 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Collect the gun in person from one of Holt's regional valuation days
Every three months we hold Valuation Days throughout the country. If there is a day close to you, and you would like your items taken to one of these days, contact the Main Office and they will arrange for this to be done. Please be aware though, Holt's are only at these locations for one day, so items cannot be left for collection another time, and there may be a little delay if the day is busy. The best thing to do is arrange an appointment to collect your gun, and remember to bring your licence with you.
Request the gun to be shipped to your local RFD.
Once you have bought a gun from us, contact your local RFD to make sure they are happy to receive the gun for you, and be aware they may charge you for this. Then contact us to request that we ship the gun to your RFD. There is a charge for shipping, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a quote. Then, send us your licence (original, not a copy) via recorded delivery and we will enter the gun details onto your licence. The licence is then returned to you, and the gun is shipped to your local RFD. All you need to do then is go to your local RFD with your licence and collect the gun, and notify the police that you have done so.
