the printed linen swatch mounted in a square mat and rosewood frame, inscribed "Relic of Bonnie Prince Charlie./ The above is a piece of Curtain from the bed in which/ Prince Charles Edward Stewart slept for three nights prior/ to the fateful Battle of Culloden Moor. This historic bed/ was purchased by Mr. Lawson Johnston from the Culloden/ Estate, and the authenticity of the relic is beyond question", with accompanying documentation
