Description: Kacho-e, Wild duck pair. Original color woodblock print, published in the 1st half 20th cent. Signed: Jaku’un. Siegel: Jaku + Un.
The name of the artist of this finely printed Shinhanga leaf is completely unknown. Neither in English nor in the Japanese language is information about him to be found. Also the specialists in Tokyo, who I contacted, did not know but confirmed my reading of the signature.
