OLD HOUSE IN BARBADOS signed with the artist's incised monogram and titled, certified and dated "1931-32" by Thoreau MacDonald on the reverse oil on board 21 by 26 cm. 8 1/4 by 10 1/4 in. An inscription on a gallery label notes that this is the house in which MacDonald stayed while visiting Barbados in 1931-32.
