Description: James O'Neill. 3 cabinet cards He was a great actor and a notorious rake. His major role throughout his career was as The Count of Monte Cristo. My interest in him is primarily because of his son the great playwrite Eugene O'Neill. James was the model for the father in Eugene's "Long Day's Journey into Night." There are two portraits by H.
