A ruined villa in the Roman campagna seen through a high arch brush and grey ink, grey wash, pen and brown ink framing lines, fragmentary watermark coat-of-arms 71/2 x 6 in. (191 x 151 mm.) PROVENANCE N.D. Goldsmid (L. 1962), with (?) number 'no.4.z' NOTES This view was drawn by Asselijn during his stay in Italy in 1635-44.
