Description: JAPAN, MEIJI PERIOD A Fine Japanese carved ivory figural sculpture. The sculpture depicts a family surrounding a fire as the mother cooks. The three figure sculpture was completed with exceptional detail, their expressions are finely carved exhibiting master craftsmanship. The work is signed on the base and sits upon its original carved wood base.
Dimensions: Measures 7 1/2" long by 5" deep by 6 3/4" tall.
Condition Report: The female crouched figure is missing her left forearm, where it is signed on the back appears to have been split off at one time and reglued. Otherwise very good condition.
Provenance: Comes with authenticity report.
