Condition / Notes: This antique volume has been re-bound in marbled paper-covered boards with leather backstrip, four raised bands, and gilt lettering to the spine. The exterior of the volume displays minor rubbing to the leather. The binding is firm, with new endpapers and an armorial bookplate on the front paste-down. The interior displays age toning, but is clean and free of markings. Page 117 displays a large closed tear, and some pages are trimmed so that there is slight loss to the header. This work is illustrated with engraved plates, which are generally vivid and well-preserved.
