Other Notes: Jessie Madeleine Birt-Ulph was the daughter of John Johnston of St Ives. She married Arnold Birt-Ulph in 1904 in the Free Church, St Ives. She lived at Bergholt, St Ives (Cromwell Terrace), and was painting from 1910 until her death in 1927. Mrs Birt-Ulph was the leader of the enthuisiastic group of Huntingdon artists, the St Ives 'Daub' Club.
