Description: JESSIE WILLCOX SMITH
(american, 1863-1935)
"EASTER MORNING"
Signed ''Jessie Willcox Smith" bottom right; also inscribed with title verso, mixed media on board
22 x 15 3/8 in. (55.9 x 39.1cm)
provenance:
Property from the Estate of Barbara Crawford, Berwyn, Pennsylvania.
note:
The present work was featured on the cover of Good Housekeeping magazine in April, 1927.

Condition Report: Excellent original condition, with bright, fresh colors and no evidence of any restoration. The work is framed and matted, with brown papertape pieces at parts of outer top, right and left edges of board affixed on the verso to the mat. We have not taken the board out of the mat (i.e. we have not cut the tape pieces on the verso to separate the board from the mat) but note a small area of surface loss to board at outer right edge near bottom (covered over by overmat, and only noted by lifting up of overmat).
Frame: 28 3/5 x 21 3/4 x 1 in.

Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to request a condition report on any lots upon which they intend to bid, prior to placing a bid. All transactions are governed by Freeman's Conditions of Sale.
