/spanThomas Agnew & Sons, Ltd., London.
Private Collection, The Bronx, New York.
Matted, framed – the image itself in generally good condition, executed on a single sheet of folded paper (i.e. like pages in a book). The lower right approx. half of the sheet on which the work is executed is cut, so that approx. 1 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches of sheet at bottom has been cut away (reasons unknown). The cut area is completely hidden by the overmat and does NOT touch the image itself. Areas of front of sheet are glued to back of sheet. There is light staining and a thin brown mat burn line. This mat burn line surrounds image but does not touch image.
Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to request a condition report on any lots upon which they intend to bid, prior to placing a bid.
