Exhibited: Stendahl Galleries in the Maryland Hotel, Pasadena, CA, five-person exhibition, 1924; Pasadena Society of Artists Annual Exhibition, Pasadena Art Institute, Pasadena, CA, 1925; Pasadena Public Library, Pasadena, CA, group exhibition, 1927; Ainslie Galleries, Los Angeles, CA, one-person exhibition, 1928. Note: Jules Kievits owned Kievits Gallery (c.1920-1930s) located in the Vista Del Arroyo Hotel in Pasadena, then acquired the gallery in the Flintridge Hotel in 1927, selling artwork by local San Gabriel Valley artists. A detailed academic essay on Frost's masterpiece 'San Gabriel Valley' by Phil Kovinick, author of the forthcoming 2011 Irvine Museum publication ''John Frost: A Forgotten American Impressionist'', is available online and in printed format by request.
