Condition / Notes: This is the first edition of this work. The antique volume is bound in brown cloth, with blind-stamped ornamentation to the covers and faded gilt lettering to the spine. The volume displays significant external wear, with loss to the spine extremities, rubbing, and scattered soiling. The binding is sound. The interior displays foxing and soiling, and is profusely illustrated with plates and textual illustrations. A hand-colored frontispiece is present, depicting "The Occupation of the Capitol of Mexico, by the American Army."
