Blackface musician with man pointing. Albumen print, the image measuring 7 5/8x 8 3/4 inches (19.3x22.2 cm.), the mount 8x9 7/8 inches (20.3x25.1 cm.), with Ryder's gilt-lettered Cleveland address and "High Art Photographer," on mount recto. 1890s

Notes: Ryder began his career as a daguerreotypist and later photographed several American presidents.
