Other Notes: John Moyer Heathcote lived at Conington Castle, Huntingdonshire. Conington Castle was demolished by the Heathcotes in the 1950s.

Heathcote's children, John Moyer Heathcote (Jnr) 1834-1912, and Charles Gilbert Heathcote were also artists. John Moyer Heathcote loved the Fen landscape and invited fellow artists such as Peter de Wint and Edward William Cooke (1811-1880) to paint in the area. Heathcote also took lessons from de Wint, who sometimes completed details of Heathcote's paintings.
