22 5/8in. nitro replacement barrel (circa 1991, chamber lined and reproved in 1994) engraved in script ''JOHN RIGBY & CO. 13 PALL MALL LONDON SW1'', with block-mounted open sights and two folding leaf sights, white metal inlaid sight lines and marked for 100, 200 and 300 yards, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight, the receiver (with thumb cutout) mounted with a Swarovski Habicht 3-9x36A telescopic sight, no. C5947003, in quickly-detachable mounts, Mauser number 1504, manual side safety and bolt flag safety, floorplate with military style release, blued finish, semi-pistolgrip stock with sling swivels, 13 3/4in. pull including 1in rubber recoil pad, fore-end with Deeley & Edge style locking lug lever, weight 7lb. 2oz. (unscoped) and 8lb. 4oz. (with scope), in a re-lined leather take-down case


Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed the rifle was completed on 16th Jan 1901 for the Army & Navy Stores
