comprising a frontispiece portrait of Tennyson as 'The Dirty Monk' and twelve other studies including 'Vivien and Merlin', 'The Parting of Sir Lancelot and Queen Guinevere' and 'The Passing of King Arthur' (illustrated), Albumen Prints, mounted on stiff blue card with facsimile manuscript text pages between, each photograph signed and titled by the photographer in ink on the mount, each approx. 350 by 250mm, manuscript dedication 'These Two Volumes are presented/to my kind and generous friend/D. Quain/by Julia Margaret Cameron/August 14th 1875' in ink on the flyleaf, later manuscript dedication 'Presented to my much distinguished, kind and/valued friend Sir Henry Irving by/Richard Quain/Sept 16 1897' in ink on inside page, printed bookplate of Sir Henry Irving on flyleaf, printed critique of the volume from The Morning Post, 11 January 1875, affixed to inside cover, gilt titled, full red leather,
