Description: Artist: ALFRED RUNGE & EDUARD SCOTLAND (1885-1945) Size: 23 1/4 x 35 7/8 in./58.9 x 91.3 cm Kempedruck, Bremen Strangely contorted and the color of a dark, heavy roast, this haunting mascot for Kaffee Hag claims that the decaffeinated coffee brand comes in ‘first prize.’ It is a superior design compared to their other composition for the company, which takes on more of an ‘object poster’ presentation (see PAI-LII, 429). Ludwing Hohlwein would also use a shadowy tennis player as an icon for the company (see PAI-L, 281).

Dimensions: 23 1/4 x 35 7/8 in./58.9 x 91.3 cm

Artist or Maker: ALFRED RUNGE & EDUARD SCOTLAND (1885-1945)
