KARL BODMER, BISON-DANCE OF THE MANDAN INDIANS. Aquatint and engraving on paper, with handcoloring. Engraved by Alex. Manceau after a painting by Karl Bodmer (Swiss, 1809-1893), from Travels in the Interior of North America in the Years 1832 to 1834, published by Ackerman and Company, London, 1839-1843, plate 18, with Bodmer stamp. Bright and clean, trimmed inside the plate at the top margin. Ex W. Graham Arader III. 16 1/2"h. 22"w. (sheet), matted and framed, 29 1/4"h. 35"w.
