Description: double-hemisphere world map for a Dutch bible, based on Visscher, showing insular California and rudimentary outlines of Australia and New Zealand, each corner with animals and an allegorical figure representing one of the continents of Africa, America, Asia and Europe, by Daniel Stoopendaal, geocentric and heliocentric planetary systems upper and lower centre, engraved map with hand-colouring, 35 x 460mm., Dutch text verso, central vertical fold, trimmed on or just outside the side platemarks, always well outside the map, [c.f. Shirley 513], Dordrecht, [c.1700].
