Notes: Printed to accompany the exhibition at the Cooling Galleries, New Bond Street, London, which was organized as a fund-raiser for the Theydon Bois School for German Refugee Children. The artworks are by refugee children of World War II, many of whom came to England on the Kindertransport from Germany. The work transcribes the entirety of the speech by Austrian emigre artist Oskar Kokoschka given on its opening day, January 4th, 1943. Published as Booklet No. 1 in the series "Our Children To-Day and To-Morrow: Modern Educational Booklets" edited by Johann Fladung.
