l Daniel Garber (1880-1958) the mary maxwell house signed Daniel Garber, l.l. oil on canvas 30 by 25in. (76.2 by 63.5cm.) Painted circa 1910s-early 1920s. According to Lance Humphries, Mary Maxwell's house was located across the Cuttalossa Road from Garber's home in the Cuttalossa Valley, near Lumberville, Pennsylvania. This painting will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonne of the artist's work being prepared by Hollis Taggart and Carl Jorgensen in cooperation with the Garber family.
