LARGE CARVED AND INSCRIBED JADE MOUNTAIN
deeply carved on one side with the meeting of two elderly scholars on a bridge below a giant pine tree, the scene set amongst a mountainous landscape with pavilions and temples disposed amid craggy rocks, a waterfall cascading from above, one rock inscribed with ''Xiao Shu Tu'' (Retreat From Summer Heat) and apocryphal seals of Qianlong, the other side similarly carved with bamboo issuing from layered rocks, inscribed with the poems Lin Xia Xian Zuo (Sitting Under The Trees) by Qianlong and Duan Ge Xing (A Short Song) by Cao Cao, engraved with further apocryphal imperial seals, the well-polished stone of pale celadon tone with russet inclusions
