Description: Large Spanish iron mounted walnut vargueno

the top with 16th/17th century elements, the base probably 19th century

The upper section of rectangular form mounted all over with iron strap hinges and heavy iron handles to sides, the facing side with iron locks and drop handles with ornate pierced surrounds and cloth backs, opening to a series of drawers with architectural fronts and painted bone onlays, the lower section with two mitre molded drawers above two conforming cupboard doors, raised on bun feet.
